Sandina is a long time resident of Napa and the holder of the TEDxNapaValley License. A committed do-gooder, Sandina has been involved in the Napa community in various guises for over 4 decades. Sandina is a multi Oscar and Golden Reel winning Foley Editor having worked on some of the most memorable movies of all time. Sandina is the proud mother of two adopted children and the very proud grandmother of one!! Since leaving the Movie Industry Sandina has followed in her father’s footsteps as a serial entrepreneur and is now an active member of the Napa Downtown Business Community through her ownership of Sala Salon, The Napa Valley’s only Aveda Salon.

An accomplished (amateur) photographer and artist Sandina likes to spend her spare time in her garden planting and plotting and in her kitchen creating and cooking for friends and family alike. Given our love of pairings here in the Napa Valley Sandina considers pairing TEDx with The Napa Valley to be the ultimate combination!

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWomen, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxWomen event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

About TED
