Miles Grimshaw

Miles has attended: TEDxBeijing 2010, TEDxBoston 2011, and TEDxGotham 2011. He is originally from London, but now lives outside of Boston. He is a Global Affairs major at Yale University interested in development, which has led him to study abroad in both India and China. If you had to give him a tagline he would like to be known as a “global generalist.” Outside of TED he helps out with Hack Yale, and has been hustlin’ and learning about the tech game ever since he interned at Matrix Partners, an early stage VC firm in Boston. He also enjoys traveling, new adventures, and spending time with his 6 younger siblings.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWomen, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxWomen event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

About TED

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 26 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives.
