I began my career in publishing; writing and editing stories mostly for music and action sports publications. My interests have evolved into multi-media including digital storytelling and filmmaking. I am a TEDxOrganizer, Festival Director of The Nevada City Film Festival, Co-Founder of See Jane Do a multi-media program about Everyday Women Doing Extraordinary Things for the Planet, Co-Founder of the Passion Into Action Women’s Conference, and an Angel for The Friendship Club which works with at-risk girls in my community. I am also in pre-production on my first film. This is my third TEDx event. I love bringing these fantastic stories and talks to my small town and sharing my small town’s fantastic talent and stories with the rest of the world. Even though we are a small town, we have big ideas!

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWomen, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxWomen event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

About TED

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 26 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives.
