Deb Kemper

Deb Kemper is an experienced consultant and non-profit board member with cross-cultural leadership experience; she has lived and worked on three continents. Deb currently devotes her time to helping non-profits improve their governance, leadership and collaboration capabilities. A life-long learner, she is always looking for ways to stretch her boundaries – both mental and physical. She has an engineering degree as well as an MBA; she was a collegiate rower and has picked up many additional sports as an adult. Deb currently lives in Shanghai, China with her husband and two children. One of her lifelong dreams is to visit all seven continents.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWomen, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxWomen event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

About TED

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading.
