Cynthia Adkins

Cindy is an entrepreneurial technology and business lawyer, chair of the Seattle Metro chapter of Women In Bio, and a member of The Heroines Quest Advisory Board. She has been practicing law for 20 years. She co-founded Adkins, Plant, Elvins & Black, PLLC, a life sciences law firm, in 2003, and she loves it. “My clients are passionate about their goals of curing and treating human disease, and I get to help them make a difference in people’s lives.” Cindy organized a TEDxWomen event in Seattle in 2011 and was thrilled to bring the passion, spirit and energy that is TEDxWomen to the Seattle metro area.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWomen, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxWomen event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

About TED
